How a service call works

Three steps, no hauling

1

Tell us what's wrong

Fill out the request with the machine, the symptoms, and a few photos. Photos help Brian bring the right parts the first time.

2

Get a time

You'll get an email right away confirming your request. Brian checks the days that work for you and who else is nearby, then confirms a time.

3

Fixed in place

Brian works on the machine where it sits, tests it with you, and you get back to playing.

Tell Brian about your machine

The more detail you give, the faster you get a real answer instead of a round of phone tag.

  • Make, model and year are usually on the backbox, the coin door, or a plate on the back.
  • You'll get an automatic confirmation email so you know it came through.
Your information stays private. Period.
Your name, address, phone and email are used only to fix your machine. They are never shared, never sold, and never put on any mailing list. Only Brian and his assistant ever see it.

A shop job is the full treatment: strip and polish the playfield and plastics, new rubbers and LEDs, plus minor fixes. Plan on 5 to 7 hours.
Dashed days are Saturdays, which Brian keeps for bench work. He'll come out on one only if needed.
Have a video of the problem?Send it on MessengerMessenger chats with the page are private. Only Brian and his assistant see them, never the public.

Private: only Brian and his assistant see what you send. Never shared, sold, or added to a mailing list.

Common questions

Before you call

Do you come to me?

Yes. In-home and on-site repair is the specialty. Pinball machines and jukeboxes are heavy and easy to damage in a move, so Brian brings the shop to you, whether that's a basement game room or a bar.

What does a service call cost?
  • In-home service, Omaha area$100/hr1-hour minimum, plus parts.
  • Bench work at the shop$80/hrHalf-hour minimum, plus parts. For when a board or part needs to come back with Brian.
  • Edge of the metroSmall trip feeFor towns just past the Omaha area, like Bennington. Often waived when Brian already has calls nearby that day.
  • Drive time outside the Omaha area$80/hrCharged both directions, and split between everyone on that day's trip. Lincoln is about 2 hours round trip, or $160. With 4 customers that day, it's $40 each for the trip, plus the 1-hour minimum.

No surprise bills. If the job will take longer than the first hour, Brian stops, explains what else needs doing, and you decide whether to go ahead.

How soon can you come out?

Usually within a week to a week and a half, depending on the season. Around Thanksgiving and Christmas Brian can be a couple of weeks out, and some years the holidays are fully booked by October, so don't wait. Brian always tries to fit in a surprise party or an emergency, but it can't be guaranteed.

When do you do service calls?

Sunday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with later evenings when it's really needed. Saturdays are bench days, so Saturday house calls happen only when needed. Brian answers the phone all week.

What areas do you cover?

The Omaha and Council Bluffs metro and surrounding towns, including Lincoln, Fremont, Blair, Bellevue, Plattsmouth, Elkhorn, Missouri Valley and Columbus. Outside the Omaha area, Brian groups calls on the same day so customers split the drive time. Farther out? Ask anyway.

What do you do with my information?

Nothing except fix your machine. Your name, address, phone and email are never shared, never sold, and never put on any mailing list. No newsletters, no spam, ever. No one will receive or see your information besides Brian and his assistant.

Do you buy or sell machines?

Brian has bought and sold pinball machines, jukeboxes, and arcade games for decades. Call or text (402) 850-3732 with what you have or what you're looking for.

My machine hasn't been turned on in years. Is it safe to plug in?

Old machines can have dried-out capacitors, brittle wiring, or blown fuses replaced with the wrong rating. If it's been sitting a long time, it's worth having it checked before you power it up, to avoid potential fire or damage to other components that are hard to replace.
